Beginning Position
Using the seated calf machine, sit in the machine with the knees bent and adjust the padded bar so that it fits snugly across your knees.
Point the feet straight ahead, with the ankles directly below the knees.
Position the balls of the feet onto the raised platform, and the heels just below the toes.
  Execution:
Keeping the toes pointed straight ahead, slowly raise your heels as high as you can.
Raise your heels until the ankles are fully extended.
Slowly lower your heels back to the original starting position. Repeat.
Training Tips:
Sit up straight with a natural arch in the back, and look straight ahead.
When lowering the heels back to the original position, try not to lower them below the balls of the feet.
Keep the toes pointed forward and avoid the ankles from rolling in or out.
