Exercise Technique
Beginning Position
Adjust the seat so that the knees are aligned with the axis of the machine.
Adjust the leg pad so that it rests against your leg just above your feet.
Align the knees in a straight line with the hips, and your back firmly pressed against the back pad.
Execution:
Curl the leg pad up until the knees are almost fully extended.
Hold briefly while contracting the quadricep muscles.
Slowly return to the original position. Repeat.
Training Tips:
Try not to kick the weight up, momentum will take over and the exercise will be less effective.
Keep the shoulders back, and look straight ahead.
Keep the feet relaxed throughout the exercise, and avoid twisting the hips or lower legs.
